This special piece was from the famous S.S. Central America shipwreck, and is well preserved after over 150 years on the ocean floor! This coin has plenty eye appeal for the grade, especially considering what this coin has been through. This coin was found in the Purser's safe which helped keep it relatively well preserved compared to many shipwreck silver coins which are harshly corroded.
