    Description

    2 VERY RARE Vtg 1930s Native American Hand Carved WOOD SEMINOLE DOLLS MAN WOMAN. These Seminole dolls are very early, 1930s, Hand-carved and hand-painted Cypress wood. They are in excellent condition consistent with age and handling. The male doll measures 9 3/8" tall with a 2 1/2" - 2 5/8" diameter base. The female measures 9 1/4" tall with a 2" - 2 1/2" base. The man wears his typical period dress and tunic while the woman is wearing her period clothing as well as her classic board hairdo. The woman's board hairdo has a few little chips in the edge but doesn't take away from this fine example of an early Seminole doll. These are extremely rare and as this pair were, no doubt, originally intended as a pair.... they are even moreso. Extreme care will be afforded in packaging.
