DESCRIPTION
Turns out our 100-year-old building - now a music store - used to house a neon sign factory! Recently, we discovered several discretely stored boxes of hand-drawn sketches used to create and construct neon signs for businesses in and around the Topeka, Kansas area during the 1980s and 90s. Drawn on a variety of paper types and sizes (approximate dimensions are noted on each photo), this particular collection of 18 sketches highlights restaurant and dining signage and includes several nationally recognizable brands, including Gambino's Pizza, Chi Chi's Mexican restaurants, Braum's ice cream, and Carlos O'Kelly's. Note that some of the designs read forward and others read backward, depending on how the finished product was meant to be viewed.
Please keep in mind that these sketches were not stored with a great deal of care, and as a result, they are quite fragile with widely varying conditions. Most of them have  some type of noticeable damage, including tears, burn marks, taped repairs, creases, folds, and holes. That said, with a little TLC and possibly some professional framing, these would look super funky fantastic in a loft apartment, a retro bar or restaurant, a downtown office space, or even a historic exhibit!

We're the online leg of a bricks-n-mortar music store called Supersonic Music with locations in Topeka and Lawrence, KS. The stores are owned by Derek Sharp and have been in operation since 1998. Derek also owns a custom drum company called TreeHouse Custom Drums. Supersonic Music is an authorized dealer of dozens of brands, specializing in percussion and guitar stuff.

RETURNS
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, returns are possible within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt. Contact us to receive a Return Authorization form. Fill it out and pack it with your item, shipping your item to us at your expense, in the same or better condition as you received it. After we receive and inspect your returned item, we will replace it or issue you a refund, less shipping charges. A return for refund voids “free shipping” offers and the buyer becomes responsible for the original outgoing shipping. Please note: any repairs or work necessary to restore your returned item to its outgoing condition will be assessed against your refund.
