    Description

    Antique Heisey #433 Grecian Border, commonly known as Greek Key, 32 oz. Tankard pitcher and six 7 oz. straight soda tumblers all with silver overlay highlighting the Greek Key pattern and the rims. All pieces are marked with the well known Heisey symbol of a capital H inside a diamond. The Heisey company made these clear glass Greek Key pieces between 1912 and 1938. They would have been purchased as blanks by a company who then added the silver overlay. This was a common practice and Heisey glass in many patterns can be found with an added silver overlay. The Greek Key with overlay, however, is extremely rare.
    These pieces have been used and are in good condition. They are not pristine as there are minor signs of wear from use. The silver is tarnished so that it looks almost black and it has chipped in a few places on rims. I have tried to capture these flaws in photographs.
    The Tankard Pitcher measures 7-5/8" tall, 4-1/2" across the rim including spout. It holds 32 ounces.
    The Tumblers measure 4-5/8" tall, 2-5/8" diameter at rim and hold 7 ounces each.
